Suffering from chronic lung disease?
Get Disability for COPD.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an umbrella term used to describe long-term lung diseases, such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis. It affects an estimated 24 million people in the U.S. and is characterized by a chronic coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue.
Smoking is the main cause of COPD but long-term exposure to lung irritants – such as pollution, chemicals and dust – can also cause COPD.
There is no cure for COPD. It develops slowly and symptoms worsen over time. In severe cases, it can affect your quality of life, leaving you practically immobile and unable to work.
If you are suffering from COPD and have been (or are expected to be) out of work for at least year, there’s a good chance you may qualify for Social Security Disability benefits. The Disability team at McDonald Law Firm will be glad to evaluate your case, file your claim and work to get you Disability for COPD.
We’ll take care of everything. You just take care of yourself.

How does the Social Security Administration decide who qualifies for Disability for COPD?
Eligibility for Social Security Disability for COPD largely depends on a lung function test, known as the spirometry test. This test measures your forced expiratory volume (FEV) – which is how much air you can exhale in one second. If your FEV is lower than the SSA’s established threshold, you should be automatically approved for Disability for COPD.
If you don’t have an issue with air flow, but your lungs have a problem oxygenating your blood, you could also automatically qualify for benefits. Again, your test scores must be below the SSA’s established thresholds.
Don’t meet the SSA’s criteria for Disability for COPD? Don’t be deterred.
If your breathing test results are over the SSA’s threshold, you could still qualify for Disability for COPD if you can convince the SSA your condition makes it impossible to work. If your COPD is contributing to other serious medical conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, sleep apnea, or depression, you’ll also have a better chance of getting benefits.
The Social Security Administration will want to see medical evidence – and lots of it. That’s where we come in. The skilled staff at SSDHelpNow.com knows what you need, where to get it and how to maximize your chances of getting Disability for COPD. Let us lead the way.
